Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar is the American and British sitarist. She was the first and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she's had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian of Indian descent to perform live in concert and serve as a presenter at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is among India's rising stars in the sitar. She's a daughter of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born in London in 1982, and spent her early years shuttling back and forth to London in London and New Delhi. Her debut performance was in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. In Encinitas the state of California, in 1999 she earned a high-school degree. Anouskha's career as a performer and recorder is quite impressive, in spite of her youth. She regularly performs with her dad and has done so for many years. The year 1998 saw her dropped Anourag as her debut single album. Two years later she released the Grammy nomination-winning Live at Carnegie Hall. The stage work she has done is vast as she has appeared in all of the major stages in the world. The career of Anoushka doesn't only comprise music. Bapi: The Love of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that was a tribute Ravi Shankar. Also, in a number of films. In 2003, she acted in the film Dance Like a Man where she is an aspiring Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka shankar is a rising superstar and her fame is expected to continue growing. Anoushka Shakar, born in England spent a large part of her life between London Delhi. After moving to California she completed her high school. In Delhi at his 75thbirthday celebration Anoushka first made an appearance performing the sitar in front of an audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Anoushka has gained lots of experience touring around the globe with the father. She performed at Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. To honor her position as a leading musician of Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
