Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her best-known role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. Her other appearances include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School after which she moved to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago theater before transitioning to television and film. Anna got her first major role as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. At the beginning of 1990, Anna was a frequent guest on TV and in films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in the play Numbered Day. It is an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio dramas. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The drama's tension and final end reflect the final years of Walter White.
